Welcome to Moodie Wine & Dine, an exquisite Western culinary destination nestled in the heart of Central, Hong Kong. Located on the ground floor of 7 Wo On Ln, this restaurant encapsulates a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a memorable dining experience. With a phone number readily available at +852 6616 6540, it’s never been easier to secure a table at this hidden gem.
As a food reviewer for Menustic, I was eager to discover the unique offerings at Moodie Wine & Dine. Known for its delightful tasting menu priced at an attractive $688 for two, the restaurant emphasizes quality and flavor, making it a compelling choice for both special occasions and casual meals alike. Among the culinary highlights are the celebrated blue mussels, imported directly from France, and the slow-cooked pork chop, which has garnered rave reviews for its tenderness and crispness. Guests find that the pork is blissfully devoid of that greasy aftertaste often encountered elsewhere, allowing for a truly enjoyable flesh-to-fat ratio that pairs beautifully with its accompanying sauce.
In addition to the savory dishes, the desserts at Moodie Wine & Dine do not disappoint. A standout is their tiramisu ice-cream ball, elegantly served with coffee jelly and an espresso sauce that rounds off the dining experience on a decadent note. However, responses to the dessert menu are mixed, with some guests finding the texture and flavors needing improvement. This aspect might be a point for the restaurant to refine as they continue to grow.
While the ambiance is enhanced by a spacious open-kitchen and aesthetically pleasing design, potential diners should be prepared for a more intimate seating arrangement that can feel a bit crowded at peak times. Nonetheless, the atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming, with attentive service despite occasional waits between dishes. Perhaps what makes Moodie Wine & Dine really shine is its commitment to providing an overall experience; from food to service, it's a combination aimed at elevating the diner’s mood and palate.
As I reflect on my visit, I am left with a sense of satisfaction knowing that I can recommend a place where distinct flavors meet a lively atmosphere. Moodie Wine & Dine is not simply about the meals; it's about crafting memories around the table, starting conversations over a beautifully poured glass of wine, and savoring each course one delightful bite at a time. I eagerly anticipate my next visit, where I will undoubtedly indulge once again in those remarkable blue mussels and discover what new culinary creations await. Whether you are a seafood lover or a fan of hearty meats, the offerings here promise an experience worth enjoying repeatedly.

The tasting menu is excellent, offering six courses for only 688+ for two. This place is amazing with all the dishes being tasty, especially the slow-cooked pork chop. The pork chop is tender and the fat is crispy, perfectly complemented by the sauce. Unlike at other places, it doesn't give an oily aftertaste. I will definitely return.

Wonderful dishes, especially the blue mussels!!! The mussels are imported from France directly. The mussels are very fresh and tasty. The soup is fabulous! The desert is tiramisu ice-cream ball, with coffee jelly and expresso sauce, wonderful!!! It is a must try recommendation and I will definitely have an encore in a short period of time as it is the best season of enjoying blue mussels.

Decent but nothing special. Beef tartare was decent. The yuzu kosho mussels had a great sauce but the mussels were rather small. Pasta sauce was great but the chicken breast pairing was off. Dessert was disappointing with a lacking ice cream that wasn’t properly churned with the right texture coated in cocoa powder that deflects the supplemented espresso shot

You might have not aware of the shop as the black color storefront represented a low profile first impression to the people who walk around. Frankly speaking, my first impression to the restaurant is not described as fair but something even worse. It comes to me a very spacious open-kitchen and a long circular staircase, the design and decoration are great whereas, no staff supported and no greetings to the customers. We are invited to the garret and it is apparently not friendly to someone who are above 1.7m, the upper part’s design continued the same design language as the ground floor. The set lunch menu is divided into 4 parts, Yorkshire Pudding, Salad, Blue Mussels, Pasta and Meat. Blue Mussel is the obvious signature dish while we have selected something else, 3 different kinds of pasta out of all 4 choices in that category. Surprisingly, all of these are great and we appreciated the chicken on breast one very much as it is the simplest ingredient and bought us the highest level of joy. Comparatively, the dessert is not that special but it still remains the very high C/P value as part of the combo set (top up $40 and entitled Salad, Soup and Dessert). Although the insufficient manpower, the waiting time between dishes is beyond our imagination and I could say it was just-in-time. We are thinking to have blue mussels during next visit when we were settling the bill, a nice place to stay with and definitely a place to enjoy repeatedly.

Tried their tasting menu priced at $688 for two for dinner. Loved their prawn toast and spicy prawn spaghetti Overall, the food is great but be prepared for a long dinner as the tables are small, and they serve each dish one by one. Wine by the glass can be added for an additional $88 each, but it's not that great. Suggest ordering a separate bottle instead. We were seated upstairs, which was a bit crowded and the tables were packed close together. But the waiter was nice, and the service was great.

On a weekend girls’ date, pasta dishes were pretty on point. Especially loving the one with Mentaiko. Cozy ambiance with good indoor lighting. Good for gathering if the place is not crowded.

Coming for their mussels but sold out…yet it’s good to try other dishes. 1. beef tartare - very refreshing and appetising! Added chorizo and mustard to enliven the taste! Worth trying!! 2. grilled octopus - standard Spanish tapas, grilled perfectly with the garlic olive oil 3. Seafood paella - enough for 2 people. Standard but not their best dishes. 4. Churro to wrap everything up! Better to serve with icecream. Overall - great atmosphere, nice staff and cozy environment. Worth coming before a weekend drink with friends at LKF!
